Ingredients

  • 750g Desiree potatoes, peeled & quartered
  • 100g butter, cubed
  • 100ml milk or cream
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. In a large saucepan, boil the potatoes in salted water for 15-20 minutest or until tender. Drain and return to the pan to dry (1-3 mins).
  2. Pass the potatoes through a ricer and into a clean pan. Using a potato masher, mash the potatoes in the pan, add the butter and milk (or cream) slowly until combined. Season to taste.
